    Falguni is an architect-urban planner with extensive experience in interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of environmental sustainability, urban development, and coastal management. Her research interests lie at the convergence of coastal and marine area management with sustainable development. In her current role, she coordinates research, education, capacity building, and outreach initiatives focused on advancing sustainability goals. 

    Falguni is selected as one of the 15 early to mid career professionals from the Indo-Pacific region in the inaugural cohort of the Indo-Pacific Cooperation Network’s Disaster Resilience Program (2023-24), fully funded by Japan Foundation and Australian Institute of International Affairs. She is a member of the 2023 Global Judging Committee for Solving for Humanity, a global youth challenge on human development organized by Duke University. As an Urban Planner in the World Bank-funded project on the “Preparation of Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan and Shoreline Management Plan for Odisha,” and “Holistic Development Tourism Planning for Uttarakhand” project under the Tourism Department, Government of Uttarakhand, she collaborated with government agencies, academic and research institutions, and local communities to promote integrated governance. She has actively presented her work at national and international platforms on themes including Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), Blue Economy, Marine Spatial Planning, and Sustainable Development.
