Nupur is actively involved in sustainable development initiatives, research activities, program implementation, and report writing. She is an Urban & Regional Planner and Architect by profession with more than eight years of experience in urban planning, urban design, architecture, research & strategy, advocacy, and business development. She has worked as Program Manager-Urban Water Management with Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), New Delhi. She was responsible for creating and delivering research programs and capacity building under sustainable water management.
Prior to CSE, Nupur has worked with Delhi Jal Board on an award-winning pilot Project & Rejuvenation of water bodies located in National Capital Territory and performed research studies for treatment of wastewater, conducted site surveys, developed strategies, proposed zone wise phasing and was part of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). She has also worked in the preparation of town development plans of Buldhana & Amravati districts of Maharashtra and possesses a short-term experience in the prestigious Sabarmati Riverfront development project at HCP-DPM, Ahmedabad. Her research interests are exploring initiatives in sustainability, analyzing policy and planning conflicts, developing agendas and reports, and designing strategies for sustainable future urban growth.
