Minor in Sustainable Development

Students interested in the Minor are required to take a total of 20 credits from the list of courses below. They should select courses from at least two different thematic areas (including water, pollution and waste management, energy, and environment/ biodiversity/ earth systems), for the interdisciplinary Minor in Sustainable Development. Other relevant institute norms for selection of courses will be applicable.

Administrative Framework

The Minor in Sustainable Development will be administered by a faculty advisor. The advisor will:

  • Assist students in identifying relevant courses based upon their interests;
  • Review project-based courses students may be taking with other faculty to ensure they are related to sustainability to approve them for meeting the minor requirements;
  • Help students process any other requests related to minor requirements.
