Research Interests: Smart power electronics, Green energy optimization, Net zero transition, Photovoltaic power Conversion, Transportation Electrification

Prof Pallavi is very passionate about sustainability and she strives towards engineering optimised solutions for global energy needs. Her research interests broadly include: design, modelling and optimization of renewable power conversion systems, multi-energy carriers and storage systems with a vision towards a smart and low-carbon energy ecosystem. At IIT Gandhinagar, she is setting up a Smart power electronics lab with 4 major pillars namely:

  • Photovoltaic power conversion: faults & shade-tolerant control for high reliability PV
  • Transportation electrification: fast EV chargers, battery lifetime extension
  • Green energy storage: data-driven modelling & system integration of hydrogen
  • Net zero transition: multi-energy optimization for a clean energy nexus
